About the Role

Tools for Humanity is seeking a strategic, high-agency leader to serve as the VP of Global Corporate Communications. This role serves as the day-to-day leader of the global comms function, partnering closely with the CCO to define, operationalize, and scale a best-in-class integrated communications engine. Based in San Francisco, you will oversee corporate, executive, US, crisis and consumer communications, and own the systems that drive narrative integration and coordination across pillars and regions.

You will be central to defining and executing our global narrative, ensuring coherence across product, policy, and regional workstreams, while also rolling up your sleeves to write, plan, coordinate, and guide. You will also serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders, external agencies, and cross-functional counterparts to help drive our mission forward with clarity and impact.

What You’ll Do

Narrative & Executive Communications

  • Lead the development of TFH’s core corporate and executive messaging, in alignment with our global mission and narrative pillars

  • Manage thought leadership platforms for the CEO and executive bench

  • Lead strategic comms moments including product narratives, brand milestones, and external partnerships

  • Coordinate executive briefings, op-eds, speaking engagements, and high-stakes media opportunities

  • Coordinate global narrative across teams, markets, and media tiers, including top-tier international press and cross-functional messaging discipline

Comms Strategy & Operations

  • Design and run a global comms planning system (tiering, editorial cadence, campaign calendar)

  • Integrate corporate, product, policy, and regional communications into one cohesive strategy

  • Define frameworks that guide narrative architecture, prioritization, and approval workflows

  • Serve as the connective tissue across the comms team and its cross-functional partners

Issues, Policy & Crisis Response

  • Partner with policy, legal, market operations and regional leads to manage risk and develop proactive positions

  • Build a crisis comms playbook and serve as a lead for reputational response moments

  • Support transparency and trust with stakeholders in moments of scrutiny or regulatory interest

US Communications Leadership

  • Lead all US communications efforts, acting as both the regional media lead and a strategic driver of message alignment across global outlets and narratives

  • Support verification center storytelling, local media engagement, and visibility in key US cities

  • Coordinate with marketing, policy, and exec comms to align messaging across national campaigns, product launches, and regulatory moments

  • Act as point of contact for US-based press, issues response, and local partner comms

  • Help shape how World ID, World App, and World Chain are understood and adopted across technical, consumer, and government audiences

Team Development & Integration

  • Directly manage key functional leads across corporate, consumer, and comms ops functions, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and collaboration across the org

  • Mentor and empower high-performing ICs and build clarity across the org

  • Act as a steady hand and culture-setter, bringing high standards and low drama to a fast-moving environment

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with product, engineering, policy, marketing, and international teams to ensure comms is aligned to core business and reputational goals

  • Act as CCO’s proxy in SF and ensure exec alignment and visibility into comms priorities

  • Represent comms in cross-functional planning and help shape internal prioritization

  • Ensure the comms team is tightly integrated into product and go-to-market planning cycles

About You

  • 20+ years of experience in strategic communications, with deep experience in corporate, executive, and/or product comms for global organizations

  • Proven track record of operating in fast-moving, high-stakes environments (tech, fintech, AI, crypto, or regulated spaces a plus)

  • Strong experience building narrative architecture and integrating comms systems across large or globally distributed teams

  • Experience managing people, agencies, and cross-functional workstreams

  • Experience leading integrated comms teams across multiple audience types (e.g., consumer, developer, policy, crypto/web3)

  • Strong operator with a systems mindset—able to run a comms function like a business unit, with clear roles, metrics, and operating rhythms

  • Comfortable managing ambiguity, guiding under pressure, and scaling what works

  • Strong media instincts and relationships with tech, business, or policy press preferred

  • Experience with Web3, privacy, or financial technologies a plus
