About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented contract UI/UX Designer to help design the next generation of fantasy sports betting experiences. This role requires someone who understands the intersection of sports fandom, fantasy mechanics, and wagering flows, and can translate that complexity into interfaces that are engaging, trustworthy, and easy to use.
You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and compliance teams to craft user journeys that balance fun, excitement, and regulatory responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Fantasy & Betting Experience Design – Create intuitive flows for drafts, lineups, contests, betting slips, live scoring, and payouts. Ensure experiences highlight the thrill of competition while maintaining clarity and transparency.
Interface & Visual Design – Design high-fidelity screens, components, and interaction patterns that resonate with sports fans. Build design systems to ensure consistency across fantasy sports betting platforms (web & mobile).
User Research & Testing – Conduct research and usability testing with fantasy sports players and bettors. Iterate quickly based on feedback, behavioral analytics, and A/B test results.
Compliance & Trust – Collaborate with compliance/legal teams to ensure flows (KYC, deposits, withdrawals, responsible gaming prompts) meet regulations. Design trust-building elements around money movement, odds, and results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to deliver designs that are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
Qualifications
4+ years in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years working on fantasy sports, betting, or related gaming/fintech products.
Strong understanding of fantasy gameplay mechanics, betting slips, live odds, contest structures, and payout flows.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
Passion for sports and a deep appreciation of what makes fantasy and betting products engaging.
Experience working with compliance/legal teams in regulated industries.
Experience designing for mobile-first fantasy sports or betting apps.
Familiarity with real-time data visualization (live scoring, leaderboards).
Knowledge of responsible gaming best practices.
