About the Role
We’re seeking a UI/UX Designer with a strong background in designing financial interfaces, particularly those involving digital wallets, payment rails, and fintech applications. In this contract role, you’ll help us create secure, intuitive, and delightful user experiences around money movement, account management, and transactions. You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, and compliance experts to build tools that are both user-friendly and highly reliable in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
User Experience Design – Design flows for onboarding, payments, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, and transaction history. Simplify complex financial operations into intuitive and trustworthy interfaces. Ensure error states, confirmations, and edge cases are designed with clarity and user safety in mind.
Visual & Interaction Design – Build wallet-style interfaces that balance usability with strong security and compliance requirements. Create reusable design systems, components, and visual patterns for fintech applications.
Trust, Compliance & Accessibility – Incorporate best practices for KYC, identity verification, and regulatory compliance into product design. Design for accessibility, ensuring inclusive financial products that work for diverse user groups.
Testing & Optimization – Run usability tests and leverage analytics to optimize flows around conversion, trust, and retention. Iterate quickly on user feedback and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration – Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and legal/compliance teams to ensure designs meet functional, regulatory, and business needs. Translate technical and legal requirements into user-centered design solutions.
Qualifications
4+ years of UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing payment systems, wallet apps, or fintech products.
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent design tools.
Familiarity with payment flows, transaction safety, regulatory requirements (KYC, AML), and fintech UX best practices.
Proven ability to translate complex financial systems into clear, approachable interfaces.
Experience working across teams with engineering, compliance, and product stakeholders.
Experience with crypto wallets, blockchain-based payment systems, or Web3 fintech products.
Knowledge of security design principles for handling sensitive financial data.
Background in gamified or consumer-first fintech products.
