To support the launch and growth of our activities in Djamo Entities, we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer.

About the Role

Are you passionate about building robust test automation frameworks from the ground up? Do you thrive in environments where your expertise shapes the future of quality engineering? We’re looking for a Test Automation Engineer to help us scale and automate testing for our APIs (Node.js/TypeScript) and our mobile app (Flutter). If you love setting up modern test pipelines, experimenting with the latest tools—including AI-powered solutions—and want to make a real impact, this is the place for you.

We’re honest: there’s a lot to do! Many things need to be set up, improved, and automated. That’s why we need someone with hands-on experience who can hit the ground running, bring fresh ideas, and help us build best-in-class automation from day one.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end tests for REST APIs (Node.js/TypeScript/Python) and our Flutter mobile app.
• Set up and own modern test automation frameworks and pipelines using tools like Maestro (mobile.dev), CircleCI, Cucumber, and Firebase Test Lab.
• Leverage AI tools to optimize and scale testing processes.
• Collaborate closely with developers and QA analysts to ensure high-quality releases and fast feedback loops.
• Identify gaps in our current testing setup and drive improvements proactively.
• Stay ahead of the curve by researching and integrating the latest testing trends, tools, and best practices.
• Champion quality across the team, advocating for automation and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, ideally with APIs and mobile apps.
• Strong experience with modern test automation tools.
• Good programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Dart/Flutter test automation exposure.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining scalable end-to-end test suites.
• Experience with AI tools in the testing/QA space.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a passion for solving complex automation challenges.
• Good understanding of security best practices; experience with compliance (PCI DSS) is a bonus.
• Experience in Tech or FinTech; knowledge of the African market is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required and a good level of French is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
