About us

At Flashbots, we’re building the foundations of the future Internet and financial system. As an R&D organization, we focus on MEV through our dual engines of open research and breakthrough product development – like mev-geth, Flashbots Protect, MEV-Boost, MEV-Share, Flashblocks, and BuilderNet.

Our vibe is accelerationist, exceptional, kind, and independent. We are explorers, innovators, builders, and thinkers. We thrive on action, curiosity, and impact – driving the future in an iterative way while keeping an eye towards the long term version we want to see in the world.

Flashbots is looking for an expert TEE engineer who can dive deep into security of TEE workloads and ship security-criticial Rust and Go components. You’ll harden our Intel TDX workflows, protecting the economic layer that powers censorship-resistant block-building. Over the long term, you’ll co-develop Flashbots’ next-generation TEE products.

What You’ll Do

  • Expose and remediate security flaws in TDX workloads: misuse of remote attestation libraries, misconfiguration of Linux kernel and OS, mishandling of cryptographic keys

  • Own security-critical production Rust/Go components ensuring reliability and security of core tools and libraries used across the Flashbots products

  • Optimize enclave workflows for reliability, observability, and secure key handling across cloud and bare-metal environments.

  • Document and share findings internally and with the open-source community, turning hard-won knowledge into repeatable playbooks.

Who You Are

  • Security-first engineer focused on hardened production code and able to move seamlessly into vulnerability research

  • Expert in TEE security: remote attestation protocols, micro-architectural exploits (cache timing, speculative execution, side-channels) across SGX, SEV, or TDX.

  • Seasoned Rust or Go developer maintaining safety-critical services in live environments.

  • Deep Linux internals familiarity: kernel tuning and hardening, virtualization and namespaces

  • Thorough and evidence-driven: backs decisions with benchmarks, exploits, or formal proofs; communicates clearly and openly.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Active participation in open-source or security communities

  • Published research, conference talks, or engineering blog posts

  • Hands-on work with decentralized or distributed software systems

  • Blockchain experience (client internals, smart contracts, or protocol research)

Details that matter

  • Significantly above market rate equity compensation package

  • Unlimited PTO with a high level of freedom and autonomy for your work

  • Attractive health coverage package for US employees

  • $3000 Yearly budget for your individual learning and development goals

  • Work alongside the brightest minds in the crypto space

  • Help save the world by ensuring crypto remains decentralized, permissionless and censorship-resistant

  • Remote working, while we have a preference for EU/US time zones, you can work from anywhere in the world

  • Paid travel – 2 x team on-site in different parts of the world per year plus periodic travel to events

At Flashbots, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability status.
