Role Overview

The Operations Derivatives team is hiring for a teamlead Operations Derivatives.

The Derivatives team is part of the Middle & Back Office team (MBO) and is responsible for the daily processing and management of cleared derivatives contracts. This includes the processing of derivatives post trade actions, contract expiration, corporate events, variation margin and reporting to a trade repository. The team is also involved in the onboarding of clients and client testing.

The Operations Derivatives team frequently interacts with Change Business Management team, other Operations teams, Client Management, Sales & Business Development, Project Management, Risk Management, Software Engineering and QA teams. The Operations Derivatives team plays a key role in the success of Cboe Clears derivatives service offering, acting as a subject matter expert of the operational process in client meetings, process improvements and change initiatives.

In this role you will be responsible for

· Manage the Operations Derivatives team

· Offer subject matter expertise, support, and coaching to team members.

· Perform all daily checks, monitor contracts, positions, payments and post trade actions, clarify differences when occur, escalate incidents.

· Follow up on reported incidents and make sure mitigating measures are implemented.

· Act as escalation point when issues are raised by clients or the trading venue.

· Assist the Change & Business Management team in drafting business requirements, setting priority and validating solutions presented by the software development team.

· Act as a contact person for audit requests impacting the Operations Derivatives team.

· Provide management with clear and concise advice on team matters, including changes and explanations, through memos, presentations, or other formats.

· Proactively consider automation of operational processes to ensure the firm invests in straight through processing.

· Draft and agree documentation and controls for (new) operational processes, internal procedures and work instructions.

· Participates in meetings with external parties representing the Operational Derivatives team.

· Has knowledge and experience in the post-trade environment, preferably in derivatives clearing.

· Fosters a culture of continuous process improvement.

· Accuracy and awareness that processes within the company are interrelated

· Is customer-friendly and has strong stakeholder management skills

· Is a self-starter and has a pro-active work stance.

· Flexible work attitude (hours and tasks)

· Is based in Amsterdam

· Has 7+ years work experience in related field & role
