What you will do
As a Tax Manager based in Stockholm, you will serve as Klarna’s go-to expert on Swedish corporate tax matters. You will support business initiatives including new product launches and international expansions by assessing tax implications, evaluating alternatives, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership. This role includes managing Swedish corporate tax return processes and overseeing disclosures in financial statements and tax audits.
You will lead Pillar 2 analyses, including monitoring exposures and determining the most efficient compliance approach. You will also play an active role in managing international tax issues, such as overseas tax audits and assessing the impact of new foreign tax legislation.
In addition to being a hands-on technical expert, you will contribute to the delivery of group tax reporting, evaluate key items affecting tax charges, and participate in the review of the group contribution position. You’ll ensure that key tax controls are implemented and that Klarna remains ahead of evolving regulatory demands. Working in a highly digital environment, you will use AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in your work.
Who you are
At least 5 years of professional experience in corporate taxation, with deep knowledge of Swedish corporate tax
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex tasks and drive them to resolution across multiple stakeholders
Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail
Proven experience in advising on tax matters in a fast-paced business environment
Effective communicator with excellent presentation and written skills in English
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; advanced degree in Tax is preferred
Experience within the Financial Services or Technology sector is advantageous
Comfortable working with AI-supported tools, or open to learning
Awesome to have
Experience with Pillar 2 tax frameworks and related compliance tools
Exposure to international tax issues and handling of foreign tax audits
Familiarity with group tax reporting under IFRS or similar frameworks
Interest in leveraging AI to innovate and streamline tax workflows
