The Work:
Ripple needs a proactive Staff IT Systems Engineer with diverse technical abilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Core Platform Management: Administer and optimize critical SaaS platforms including Okta for identity and access management, Google Workspace for productivity and collaboration, and Slack for internal communications.
- Implement and upkeep endpoint management solutions with Jamf for macOS and Intune for Windows to ensure security and compliance.
- Low-Code Automation: Leverage low-code/no-code automation tools (e.g., Workato, n8n) to streamline IT workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve operational efficiency.
- Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate system administration tasks, deployments, and monitoring across various platforms.
- Network Administration: Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN, ensuring reliable connectivity and security.
- Security / Compliance: Implementing and enforcing security policies and standard methodologies across all managed platforms and infrastructure, to ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and internal policies.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for our core platforms and infrastructure to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Technical Support (Blocking issue): Act as a subject matter expert and offer Tier 3 support for issues concerning our core platforms and infrastructure.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, Security, and Engineering teams to implement new solutions and improve existing systems.
- Resiliency Planning: Monitor the usage and performance of our core platforms and contribute to resiliency efforts.

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience in IT systems administration and engineering, with a focus on managing SaaS platforms and endpoint environments.
- Proven experience administering Okta for identity management (SSO, SAML, SCIM provisioning, de-provisioning).
- Strong experience with Google Workspace Administration (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.) and Slack for enterprise use.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint management solutions, specifically Jamf for macOS and Microsoft Intune for PCs.
- Demonstrated ability to apply low-code/no-code automation tools for building and maintaining workflows.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience implementing and maintaining security standard methodologies across various IT systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools relevant to SaaS platforms and endpoint management.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate) are a plus.
- Experience in the fintech industry or with blockchain technology is a plus.
For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions.
CA Annual Base Salary Range
$168,000—$188,999 USD
