Sphere Pay is looking for a full-time InternalOps Engineer working remotely. As a InternalOps Engineer at Sphere Pay, you will work with various internal teams including compliance, operations, and sales to expose insights from data, automate operations, and accelerate the growth and throughput of these teams. The work you do will have a significant impact on the daily work of your coworkers at Sphere Pay and will help us scale the effectiveness of our existing teams and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Development: Use tools like scripting, browser and application automation to help 10x the effectiveness of our internal operations and sales teams. You will work with other teams to understand the pain points and repetitive tasks your coworkers perform each day to simplify, standardize, and automate their workflows as we scale our business.

Cross Domain Relationship: Work with various Sphere Pay teams to automate manual tasks and build systems that allow insight into our business’ operations. You will get to know members of various teams and get unique insights into the work they do supporting systems like banking, crypto / web3, compliance, and sales.

Data Analysis: Build dashboards to help our teams track and analyze their workloads and throughputs. You will work closely with the compliance, operations, and sales teams to build the tools which allow them to discover business insights around topics like common transaction issues, expense insight, and service usage.

Solution Development: Work independently to creatively solve business problems with technical solutions. You will be expected to solve problems which often will not cleanly fit into a larger framework and may require thinking outside of the box to solve.

Collaboration: Support other teams in Sphere Pay by automating their workloads and scaling their throughput. You will be expected to spend time working with other teams to better understand their operations and how we can use technology to simplify their work.

Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides for the teams using your coded solutions. You will be expected to work with the teams implementing your solutions to ensure a successful hand off.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus; alternatively an extensive history of independent code development.

• Proven experience as a software engineer, with a minimum of 6 years of experience.

• Proficiency in common web technologies and either a proficiency with or a willingness to learn: TypeScript, GCS, PostgreSQL, etc.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
