Hi 👋 I’m Rosalia, and I look after our Product Marketing team at Ashby.
I started my career in Product Marketing and helped build the Sales Enablement function at HubSpot during its journey from startup to IPO. Since then, I’ve worked across RevOps and Customer Marketing at Procore and Meta, partnering with incredible teams to bring differentiated products to market. I first heard of Ashby through our Head of Content, Anum with whom I’d spent those early days at HubSpot, and was inspired by the level of thoughtfulness and operating principles I saw and read about. I joined Ashby in April of 2024 to lead Product Marketing, thrilled to build something meaningful with people I admire, and to help shape the future of hiring in a way that’s thoughtful, effective, and human.
We’re a small team with high standards and mutual respect for our teammates and community. The way we do Product Marketing at Ashby reflects that, all with a good dose of fun 🎉. We value clarity over cleverness, lean into autonomy, and treat writing well and first-principles thinking as core parts of the job. We avoid jargon, favor plain English, and focus on helping customers and prospects genuinely understand what our product does and how it can help them. Though this role sits within Product Marketing, it acts as a key partner to our Sales and CS teams – working side by side with them to identify gaps, craft collateral, shape messaging, and build programs that drive progress in how we market, sell to and support Ashby customers.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to enable the sales team, lead competitive intelligence, expand audience messaging and support our company and market narrative.
This role is for someone who loves stepping into strategic ambiguity, finding the signal through the noise, and turning that into clear messaging and high-impact content and programs. You’ll run deep research, focus groups, and message testing to help Ashby show up with clarity and strength in new markets and with new buyers. You’ll be the right hand to sales leadership, helping develop the collateral, messaging, and training needed to win. You’ll be the go-to on information about how Ashby differentiates from our competitors. You’ll lead projects like updates to our pitch deck, build competitive plays, and shape how we enable teams to sell Ashby in a differentiated way.
This is a great fit for someone who thrives at the intersection of go-to-market strategy, messaging development, and competitive positioning. If you’re curious, resourceful, love solving hard problems, and enjoy the work of influence and enablement – this one’s for you.
There’s no perfect path into this role, but we are looking for someone with experience in a B2B SaaS growth organization. We’re open to a variety of backgrounds, including:
Product Marketing
Sales Enablement
Competitive Intelligence
Solutions Consulting or Sales Engineering
Be a strategic partner to sales
Work with Sales to identify gaps in current enablement and build materials that support revenue-generating activities (e.g., persona guides, one-pagers, strategic campaigns).
Act as the connective tissue between Product, Marketing, and Sales to drive alignment and execute cross-functionally on go-to-market priorities.
Deliver well-crafted trainings to sales in collaboration with other sales-supporting teams to move forward competitive intelligence, audience positioning, and other key initiatives.
Lead competitive intelligence
Own Ashby’s competitive research function – tracking changes in the market and turning insights into practical enablement for Sales and CS and public-facing collateral.
Develop documentation and content, training, and strategic positioning frameworks that help us win competitive deals and defend our advantage.
Regularly brief leadership and GTM teams on market shifts and competitive trends.
Drive audience and market expansion efforts and their associated narrative development
Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts to evaluate new market opportunities.
Develop and validate messaging and strategy to support launches into new buyer personas, audiences, verticals or segments.
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Demand Gen, and Product to develop and activate campaigns tailored to these audiences.
Lead the development of associated collateral, collaborating with stakeholders in Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Design.
Act like an investigative reporter, full of curiosity and consistently coming up with innovative ways to stay on top of competitors in the market.
You thrive in the research phase – soaking up context from every direction – and love the moment when it all clicks into a clear, cohesive story.
You’re a confident writer and strategic thinker who’s just as comfortable in the weeds as you are shaping the bigger picture.
You are comfortable owning your own copy and collaborating with design teams to produce well-polished assets.
You can read a product spec doc and come out with competitive differentiation messaging that actually makes someone say, “Ahh, I get it now.”
You’re at your best when pulling threads from across the org, weaving them into clarity, and getting people moving in the same direction.
You are drained by ambiguity or unsolved problems.
You crave consistency in the type of work you do or how each workday looks.
You don’t love the enablement aspects of product marketing.
You aren’t comfortable owning competitive intel or pushing back when messaging needs more rigor.
