Join our Quality Engineering (QE) Team to define, scale, and lead quality strategy across frontend, full-stack, and backend systems for Cisco Cloud Control —Cisco’s AI-powered, cloud-native platforms. As a QE Engineer, you will operate at the system and platform level, influencing architecture, testability, and engineering standards across multiple teams.
You will serve as a technical leader for quality, partnering with senior engineers and architects across Frontend, Platform, AI/ML, and SRE organizations.
As a Staff QE Automation Engineer, you will:
Define and evolve the end-to-end quality strategy across UI, API, and backend platforms.
Architect scalable, reusable automation frameworks used across multiple teams.
Lead validation of frontend and full-stack architectures, including microfrontends and shared UI platforms.
Influence API contracts, service boundaries, and testability during design phases.
Drive end-to-end user experience validation across complex, multi-service workflows.
Establish testing strategies for event-driven and asynchronous systems (Kafka).
Define standards for multi-tenant data validation and isolation.
Partner with CI/CD and platform teams to embed quality gates, reliability metrics, and observability.
Identify systemic quality risks and drive cross-team remediation plans.
Mentor and guide junior QE engineers, raising the bar for automation quality.
Represent QE in architecture reviews, technical deep dives, and release readiness forums.
10+ years of experience in QE, SDET, or Automation Engineering, with platform-level ownership.
Expert-level programming skills in Python and/or Go.
Proven experience influencing quality across frontend, full-stack, and backend systems.
Deep expertise in UI, API, and distributed systems testing.
Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven systems, and SaaS platforms.
Experience designing CI/CD quality strategies at scale.
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces.
Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
Experience defining QE strategy for microfrontend platforms.
Exposure to AI/ML platform testing and validation.
Experience with Kubernetes-based production systems.
Deep understanding of security, identity, and tenant isolation testing.
History of driving org-level quality improvements.
Experience collaborating with architects and senior technical leadership.
