As a Senior Staff Infrastructure Engineer – Developer Platform, you will architect and build secure, scalable APIs that define a unified, world-class developer experience at SentinelOne. You will write high-performance code and lead the modernization of our platform stack, evaluating and implementing cutting-edge frameworks to accelerate engineering velocity. As a technical leader, you will mentor high-performing engineers and collaborate across the organization to align on global design and execution strategies, ensuring our infrastructure scales alongside our rapid business growth.

What will you do?

• Architect the Future: Dive deep into our current developer platform, identify pain points, and design innovative solutions to address them in an iterative way toward a shared vision. Lead the design and development of a new architecture that supports scalability, maintainability, and operational excellence.
• Modernize the Stack: Collaborate with teams to evaluate and implement the right tools, frameworks, and methodologies for building a robust, user-centric developer platform.
• Hands-on Development: Write high-quality, production-ready code.
• Mentor and Lead: Guide and mentor other engineers, contribute to their professional growth, share best practices and architectural insights, and foster a culture of engineering excellence. Your involvement enhances the overall quality, whether you wrote it directly, reviewed it, or contributed to its design.
• Collaborate Across Teams and Orgs: Partner with engineering, product, design, quality, DevOps/Infra teams, and leadership to align on objectives, design, timelines, and execution strategies.

Our stack: Java, Go; Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, FedRAMP; GitHub Actions, ArgoCD; GitHub Enterprise; depending on the requirements of the service for communication, we use Kafka, REST API, GraphQL, gRPC, etc.; Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse; Prometheus/Thanos, Grafana

What experience or knowledge should you bring?

• Extensive software engineering experience, including proven expertise in architecting large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures, with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Expertise in Developer Platform fundamentals and infrastructure platform services design.
• Deep proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins) in large-scale environments.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Go; experience with Python is a plus.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong ownership and accountability, with proven experience driving large, impactful projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts and influence engineering direction across teams, departments, and stakeholders in multiple time zones.

Base Salary Range

$207,000—$253,000 USD
