About this Role
Crusoe Cloud Network Engineering team is looking for an ambitious, experienced team player to join our Network Engineering team. Crusoe Cloud Network Engineering Team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the global edge, backbone, and data center network for High Performance Compute (HPC) Clusters with GPUs. The ideal individual will be highly motivated, self-directed, and excited to work on cutting-edge technologies. You must possess strong analytical and communication skills and be a great team player.
As a Senior Staff Network Traffic Engineer, you will serve as a technical lead for Crusoe’s traffic engineering initiatives. You’ll design scalable architectures for Layer 4/7 load balancing, global ingress, CMAF, FaaS, and WAF, and guide the development of tools, automation, and observability systems. You’ll mentor engineers, influence cross-team design decisions, and help define best practices for reliability and performance.
A Day in the Life:
Lead the design and implementation of complex L4/L7 traffic engineering solutions
Build and maintain automation, metrics, and tooling for observability and optimization
Mentor and guide Staff-level engineers in design reviews and best practices
Partner with cross-functional teams to align network design with business goals
Collaborate with vendors and ISPs on advanced solutions and validation
Participate in the on-call rotation and help improve incident response processes
You Will Thrive In This Role If:
10+ years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing large-scale production networks
Deep expertise in L4/L7 load balancing, CDN architectures, and global ingress systems
Proficiency in programming languages like Go, Python, Java, or C++
Experience designing for containerized and cloud-native environments
Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to influence without authority
Passion for mentoring engineers and growing technical talent
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid up to $290,000 a year + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
