About the Project:

The client is developing a cloud-native, in-house trading platform as part of its investment banking transformation. This platform, built with fintech collaborations, features a single global codebase and user interface, enabling rapid deployment of updates and scalability.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team and ensure the delivery of functional test automations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, SikuliX and API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured, with a focus on designing and executing automated tests to streamline the development/regression life cycle. Working with the QAs, DEVs, BAs and Product Owners you will use your experience & skills to help drive best automation testing practice in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain ROBUST automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber and Playwright along with tools like Postman REST Assured.
• Create reusable, maintainable test scripts for both UI and API testing within the existing frameworks.
• Develop and execute API test cases to validate backend services, ensuring seamless integration with front end component
• Create and Manage test cases in Xray integrated with Jira, ensuring traceability to requirements and coverage for both UI and API layers.
• Execute automated tests across multiple platforms and environments.
• Sync automated test results back to Xray, generating detailed reports.
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelined for continuous testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira while collaborating with developers for resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and scrum process.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for functional, regression, API testing and integration testing.
• Regularly review test execution results and coverage reports in Xray Jira to ensure alignment with project goals

Qualifications

This role is ideal for candidates passionate about automation, quality assurance and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be part of an elite Agile team operating in London, Lisbon, Warsaw and Madrid.

Experience: 7+ years under QA Automation roles

Skill sets: Expert Automation testing experience with Selenium, Java, Cucumber, SikuliX, Maven, Git, Playwright, API, Xray, Jira

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Java, Selenium Web driver, Playwright and Cucumber/Gherkin syntax.
• Ability to learn quick the existing test framework & tests
• Experience with Xray APIs integration from scratch to automatically upload test results to Jira after execution
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Maven) and version control systems (Git)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience using Jira
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Pro-active planning and Individual contribution
