About the Role

Figure is a financial technology company with the mission of leveraging blockchain, AI and advanced analytics to unlock new access points for consumer credit products that can transform the financial lives of our customers. We provide home equity release solutions, including home equity lines of credit, home improvement loans and home buy-lease back offering for retirement. Concurrently, we are building a blockchain protocol for the origination, custody, trading and securitization of whole loans and other assets.

We’re looking for a rockstar Legal Assistant to join our growing team! Reporting to Figure’s Head of Risk Management, you will support all aspects of our fast-growing business with respect to our consumer lending, investment advisory, broker dealer, and other activities.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the contract lifecycle by routing documents for signatures, entering executed agreements into the CLM platform, and tracking contract status.
• Monitor and report on the contract pipeline, flagging delays, bottlenecks, or other issues needing attention.
• Prepare and present monthly CLM metrics, highlighting gaps and recommending improvements.
• Maintain an organized and efficient legal filing system, ensuring accurate retention of electronic and paper documents.
• Review contracts to identify key terms, obligations, and risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel on company-wide initiatives and special projects.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis of state and federal laws as needed.
• Track and monitor pending business issues to ensure timely follow-up.
• Manage company licenses, registrations, and other regulatory filings.
• Support periodic and ad hoc regulatory reporting and related internal processes.

What We Look For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 3+ years of paralegal, legal operations, or related experience.
• Hands-on experience with contract management systems (e.g., Lexion, Ironclad) and the ability to manage all aspects of a CLM program.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, documents, projects, and stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with database management and reporting.
• Intellectual maturity, business acumen, and a collaborative, positive attitude.

Salary

• Compensation Range: $74,800/yr- $93,500/yr
• 25% annual bonus target, paid quarterly
• Equity stock options package
• This is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs
