Senior IT Operations Generalist

Are you a versatile and detail-oriented IT professional with a strong focus on macOS environments and Google Workspace administration? Chainalysis Government Solutions is seeking a talented Senior IT Operations Generalist to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our burgeoning government line of business.

In this fully remote position, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our SaaS-based tech stack including the effective management of our Google Workspace suite. You’ll be the go-to person for Mac-related support, Google Workspace administration, user onboarding/offboarding, and providing essential IT support across both macOS and Windows platforms for our team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing expert-level technical support for primarily macOS users, with some support for Windows users, including hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting in a remote environment.

• Administering and managing our Google Workspace environment, including user provisioning/deprovisioning, security settings, DLP controls, application configurations (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, etc.), and ensuring optimal performance.

• Ensuring the security and compliance of our Mac and Windows endpoints, and Google Workspace environment in accordance with relevant government regulations and internal policies.

• Acting as the internal escalation point for our third-party SOC, incident response teams, and system auditors.

• Developing and maintaining documentation for Mac and Windows configurations, Google Workspace usage, and support procedures.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and support new technologies and projects.

• Managing user accounts and access controls across various systems and applications.

• Proactively identifying and resolving potential issues related to Mac and Windows infrastructure, and Google Workspace performance.

• Contributing to the development and enforcement of IT policies and security best practices.

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of experience in IT operations with a strong focus on macOS administration and Google Workspace management.

• Proven experience supporting both macOS and Windows environments.

• In-depth knowledge of Google Workspace administration, including security, compliance, and best practices.

• Solid understanding of macOS and Windows security best practices and endpoint management via both JAMF and InTune.

• Experience with user onboarding and offboarding processes in a remote environment.

• Familiarity with security and compliance requirements relevant to US government contracts (e.g., NIST, CMMC, FedRAMP is a plus).

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote team environment.
