The Group Internal Audit function at OKx is responsible for providing the Board and senior management with independent, objective, risk-based assurance, advice and insight. Data is at the heart of our systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving upon the effectiveness of the Group’s governance, risk management and internal controls.
Our team consists of talented audit, risk, compliance and data professionals who are based across our global offices.
About the Opportunity
The successful candidate will have prior data analytical or modeling experience in the financial services or Fintech industries. You will be comfortable in both acquiring and analysing varying quantities of data from a variety of sources and have a desire to understand, critically evaluate and drive insight from it.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Audit – Data Analytics & Innovation to develop solutions for the Internal Audit team to make the best use of data to assess audit risk, drive understanding of process and control effectiveness and deliver value adding insight.
We are looking to innovate the use of data in our audits and embed it at the heart of our audit proposition.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Facilitate the acquisition of data for audit purposes working across the business to understand requirements, identify available information and executing extraction of data (including evolving processes to be repeatable)

Design and implement analytics strategies to convert data into actionable risk, process and control insight

Build and automate key performance dashboards and metrics reporting for all audited processes to display insights and provide transparency about our customers and our platform

Map all required data points to understand the current data architecture and seek improvements, where necessary

Assist in defining, and developing deep insights and root cause analysis for our audit teams

Assist in the design, development and maintenance of a suite of analytics tools and techniques in support of audit execution and operational effectiveness

Craft machine learning and predictive models to drive intelligent product features

Collaborate across product, engineering, data science, marketing, business development, finance and our customers to help build and continuously improve the data pipeline

Hone your skills on data visualization to create and maintain automated dashboards
What We Look For In You:
-
BA/BS in Statistics, Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience

At least 3-5 years of experience in analytics or closely related field
-
A strong intuition for crafting raw data and analysis into well-written and persuasive content
-
Expertise in SQL and knowledge of cloud data environments e.g. AWS
-
Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar reporting tool
-
Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity
-
Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities simultaneously
Nice to Haves:

Experience with scripting and analysis languages (Python, R)

Experience working in an audit, risk or compliance function

Understanding of Chinese-Mandarin (speaking and writing)

Industry or educational experience in text mining, information retrieval, knowledge extraction, and building knowledge graphs

Experience of product development and prototyping

The salary range for this position is $143,000 – $257,000

The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
