Vana is actively seeking a Software Engineer – Full-Stack to join our dynamic team, focused on our core AI-driven consumer platform. This role is ideal for those who excel in creating robust, scalable features from the ground up and have a keen interest in leveraging data to enhance application performance. While familiarity with machine learning is appreciated, the focus of this position lies in full-stack development and the direct impact on our product’s growth.
As a Software Engineer at Vana, you’ll be instrumental in:
Feature Development: Spearhead the creation and refinement of features that are critical to our platform’s success, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Technical Excellence: Maintain and enhance the codebase across the stack, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate ideas into tangible outcomes, aligning closely with our product vision and user needs.
End-to-End Development: Use your expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, and Postgres to develop and optimize both the frontend and backend aspects of our consumer AI platform.
Quality and Performance: Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, optimize application for maximum speed and scalability, and maintain code quality and integrity.
Data-Informed Solutions: While the primary focus is on full-stack development, applying a basic understanding of data engineering to improve feature functionality and application performance will be valuable.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.

Previous software engineering experience (ex: engineering internship fine)
Keen interest in Web3, crypto and/or emerging tech
Undergrad from elite institution preferred (Stanford, MIT, Harvard) or a consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain)
Experience in product at a company like Google or Uber is great
Experience working with data or machine learning-based products
Experience building consumer products like TikTok
