Join the founding DevOps team building Cisco’s next-generation Multi-Cloud Networking (MCN) platform from the ground up. We are a small, high-impact team of four engineers across the US and India, operating with high autonomy to shape the architecture of a platform handling billions of daily transactions. We are AI-native from day one, leveraging tools like Cursor and Codex to innovate faster while collaborating closely with Backend, SRE, and QA teams to power an inclusive future.

Your Impact

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will architect the CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation that enable MCN to operate reliably across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will play a critical role in our Alpha launch in early 2026, building the foundation that scales from Alpha to Beta and eventually to Global Availability (GA) across 9+ global regions. This is your chance to move beyond maintaining existing systems and instead build a self-healing, AI-powered infrastructure from the ground floor.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust CI/CD deployment pipelines across AWS (EKS), Azure (AKS), and GCP (GKE) using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Create reusable Terraform modules for regional deployment automation to ensure reproducibility, consistency, and disaster recovery across multiple cloud providers.
• Develop AI-powered operations, including MCP servers and AI agents, to detect deployment issues early and automate intelligent troubleshooting and rollbacks.
• Implement secure credential and secrets management strategies using AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, and GCP Secret Manager.
• Build and maintain comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Thanos, and Grafana to ensure global service health.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in managing and scaling large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years of programming expertise in Python or Go (experience with C++ or Java is also applicable).
• Proven expertise with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Ansible).
• Direct production experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration within cloud environments (EKS, AKS, or GKE).
• Demonstrated experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices for high-traffic environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing (BGP), and VPN (IPsec).
• Experience with multi-cloud production operations and GitOps methodologies (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Knowledge of secrets management (IAM roles, RBAC, service accounts) and certificate rotation/PKI.
• Experience or interest in building AI-native DevOps tools or MCP servers for operational automation.
• Excellent technical communication skills and a passion for mentoring peers and sharing knowledge.
