As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing robust backend systems to support our diverse product offerings. You will work alongside a talented team of developers and engineers, creating scalable and efficient backend services that enhance user experiences across our applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and implement APIs for seamless integration with front-end components.
- Optimize existing backend services for performance and scalability.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data through implementing best practices in database management.
- Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations to improve our tech stack.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of microservices and serverless components.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on server-side architecture.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby.
- Extensive experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
- Familiarity with cloud solutions and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of security standards and best practices for web applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
