We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in email phishing, threat research, and data analysis in the cybersecurity space. This role focuses on researching email threats, analyzing trends, and understanding malicious techniques. It does not include malware reverse engineering. You will be responsible for defining phishing threats in our systems and providing strategic insights to improve our defenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in-depth research into email phishing attacks, threat trends, and attacker methodologies
  • Analyze large-scale data to identify emerging threats and develop actionable insights
  • Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of 7 professionals, including 3 data analysts and 4 data annotators, located in Israel and internationally
  • Define threat models and guide system responses to improve threat detection and prevention
  • Develop structured research methodologies and drive process improvements across the team
  • Collaborate closely with product and R&D teams to implement findings and refine the product

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Security Researcher, Security Analyst, Email Analyst, or a similar role in the cybersecurity domain, with a focus on email security
  • Deep understanding of email-based threats, phishing campaigns, and attacker techniques
  • At least 1 year of experience in team leadership or management
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large volumes of data
  • Demonstrated ability to create research methodologies and define processes
  • A proactive approach with the ability to lead initiatives and operate independently
  • Experience working with distributed teams, both local and global
  • Solid cybersecurity background with the ability to identify and articulate threats clearly and creatively
