About the team

The Mission and Operations (M&O) team is responsible for the in-orbit operations of the company’s satellite constellation. We oversee the entire operation from launch, commissioning, day-to-day operations, and decommissioning of the satellites. For day-to-day operations, we provide user interfaces to request data (imagery, experiments, etc.) and we handle the planning optimization , collection and download of the requested data. On top of that, we make sure that our satellites are in the correct orbits, out of collision courses, healthy, and up-to-date with the latest software upgrades coming from the engineering teams.

You will be part of the Satellite Operations team, which seeks to maximize our satellite constellation availability and reliability by means of maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and constant monitoring of the satellites health and performance. To do so, the team develops and executes maintenance procedures and automatic monitoring software systems. Also, the team is responsible for the commissioning of new satellites after every launch. and the execution of in-orbit testing of new features.

About the position

As a Satellite Operator you will perform real-time and off-line satellite monitoring and execute maintenance procedures in order to maximize the availability of our fleet.

Your main responsibilities as a Satellite Operator will include:

– Participate in the development of our fleet’s monitoring system and automation tools.

– Monitor the satellites’ health and performance.

– Identify, isolate, investigate, diagnose and solve incidents, and whenever necessary, escalate and follow up incidents.

– Execute planned and unplanned maintenance procedures.

– Execute in-orbit experiments according to predefined procedures.

– Identify and suggest opportunities to improve efficiency of the satellite constellation and our processes

– Participate in our 24/7 on-call rotations required for the support of our constellation and ensure adequate documentation and hand-overs.g for a proactive and technically curious engineer to join our Data Processing Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and reliability of our satellite imagery processing workflows — from raw data ingestion to the delivery of high-quality products to our clients.

You’ll need a solid understanding of image processing concepts, you’ll also need a working knowledge of systems and infrastructure, as you’ll participate in efforts to improve processing reliability, reduce manual interventions, and increase observability throughout the pipelines.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to define meaningful operational metrics, improve traceability, deploy monitoring dashboards, and implement alerting mechanisms. You’ll also help assess system behavior and product quality

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across disciplines, can navigate technical complexity, and wants to help scale and strengthen the operational backbone of a space company.

Location

AnywhereHybrid work preferably from Argentina, preferably in Buenos Aires where our offices are located but remote work from other locations in Argentina is not excluded.

Please note that this role as part of the Mission & Operations team might require on-call availability.

About you

Experience & knowledge

  • Experience with Python, GIT and Rest API or similar.
  • Advanced student of Engineering or Computer Science or related fields of entry level professional.
  • Experience with bash and Linux environments.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
  • At least intermediate English proficiency level.
  • Humble, flexible, and eager to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
