About the position: Ready to lead project design and scoping for some of the world’s leading space organizations? Satellogic is looking for a hands-on Sales Engineer to act as the technical and programmatic leader in preparing complex space systems proposals for customers. This role involves leading bid management, developing high-quality technical and programmatic proposals, and working closely with our engineering and commercial teams to design winning solutions and detailed projects that exceed customer requirements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Bid Management: Lead and coordinate the entire proposal process, including RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and competitive submissions.
  • Technical Proposal Writing: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including mission design, space and ground segment architecture & CONOPS tailored to customer needs.
  • Programmatic Proposal Writing: Develop comprehensive programmatic plans detailing schedules, milestones, deliverables, work breakdown structure, risk management, etc.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define innovative solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with the sales team to understand customer priorities, provide technical clarifications, and support technical sales discussions.
  • Presentation & Review: Present proposals to customers, participate in contract negotiations, and address technical queries effectively.

Who You Are:

  • Technically Proficient: You have a solid understanding of the space domain, with experience in complex project management and systems engineering.
  • Standards Fluent: You are fluent in the language of space projects, with familiarity in ECSS, NTSS, or similar standards.
  • Detail-Oriented: You excel at managing complex project plans and preparing thorough technical and programmatic documents.
  • Collaborative: You easily interface and coordinate with various internal teams and customer stakeholders to gather insights and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Excellent Communicator: You have strong written and verbal communication skills, making technical concepts accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Education: BS in aerospace or engineering is preferred. 5+ years experience in lieu of education.

Location

Spain or UAE. Remote in Europe is a possibility.
