About the role
As a Rust Software Engineer, this is a technically demanding, high-impact role for an experienced engineer who enjoys tackling deep, foundational problems. You’ll work on the design and development of a proof-generating virtual machine capable of running standard RISC-V Linux programs, enabling verifiable execution regardless of where code is run.
You’ll operate at the intersection of systems programming, performance engineering, and cryptographic verification, helping to unify deterministic computation with provable correctness. Your work will directly shape platform architecture, performance characteristics, and long-term technical direction.
You’ll join a team deeply embedded in the Web3 and blockchain ecosystem, contributing to core infrastructure and developer tooling that supports decentralised applications, DeFi platforms, gaming projects, and cultural initiatives on a rapidly evolving blockchain stack.
This role offers significant autonomy and ownership, with the opportunity to make a meaningful technical impact from day one.
At Smart Working, you’ll never be just another remote hire.
Be a Smart Worker — valued, empowered, and part of a culture that celebrates integrity, excellence, and ambition.
If that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear your story.
