As the RVP of Federal Civilian and State & Local Government (SLG) Sales for our Chainalysis Government Solutions business you will report to the CGS VP of Revenue. You will be a trusted leader who has experience and credibility to upskill and empower our sales team, while growing and maintaining effective relationships with our government customer base. As a leader in this space, your team will be responsible for delivering critical public safety technology to help federal law enforcement and regulators disrupt and prevent harm from bad actors using blockchain technology. You will work closely with CGS leadership to develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives for these important customers.
In this role, you’ll:
Lead, coach, and manage our Federal Civilian and State & Local Government sales team for the Chainalysis Government Solutions business
Build trusted relationships within and across the organization, resulting in an effective and efficient strategy for recruiting, onboarding, and enabling new Account Executives on the sales motion at Chainalysis
Collaborate with CGS leadership, fellow sales leaders, and other GTM senior leadership to establish sales goals, objectives, and key performance metrics, contributing to best practices and standardized processes across the sales organization
Promote a data-driven culture of accountability and visibility, creating a reliable cadence for forecast meetings and ensuring each team member’s forecast is current and documented in Salesforce
Collaborate with our services team and maintain an effective partnership to drive revenue through services sales
Develop and maintain relationships with our government customers, working closely with sales & product leadership to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in existing and new markets
Leverage a track record of opening up new markets to help unlock new opportunities for Chainalysis as we navigate a rapidly-evolving environment in the regulatory and compliance space
Bring forecast accuracy to the business with four-quarter rolling pipeline, ensuring that senior sales leadership can trust and rely on forecasts and sales activity to inform our overall strategy across the business
We’re looking for candidates who have:
10+ years of US Public Sector sales leadership experience in the Federal Civilian space; SLG experience beneficial
A proven track record of success and consistent quota attainment
Excellent leadership and team management skills; a commitment to coach, empower, and enable team members to do their best work
Sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence and drive outcomes, and a track record of taking ownership and delivering results
Excellent analytical skills and rigor around sales forecasting
Proficiency in sales technology solutions (CRM, analytics tools, etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
A strategic mindset and the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans
Nice to have experience:
Current Secret clearance preferred; ability to obtain one mandatory
Experience with consumption-based SaaS/DaaS businesses
Experience in financial services or other sectors involving regulation and compliance
