As a Regional Sales Planning Manager, you are part of the Global Planning Organization within Cisco Supply Chain. Our purpose is to engage with Sales partners and Customers to drive co-planning engagement with strategic customers in the region.

You will analyze customer and market insights, support product transitions and develop your Customer’s forecast. You will collaborate with other forecast streams with your Sales Demand Line Forecast and positively impact Cisco’s overall Forecast accuracy and Customer satisfaction.

Meet the Team

As a member of the Sales Planning Team, you will drive a Supply Chain alignment with Sales, Customers, Business Unit Leaders, Client Operations Managers, Finance and various internal partners. You will work closely with Sales for critical deal management and play an important role in the operational enablement of Cisco’s business targets.

Who You Are

We are looking for a knowledgeable and highly analytical Supply Chain professional who has a strong background in Forecasting and experience in Customer relations management. You are dedicated, curious, enthusiastic about data analysis and enjoys collaborating with people.

Your Impact

This role involves a strong combination of data analysis and strategic relationship management, allowing you to translate customer information into the Product Planning Forecast.

  • Responsible for managing co-planning / co-commit engagement with key Customers with product concentrated portfolio requiring general domain knowledge and able to sense future business needs. An analytical person with the ability to understand complex issues.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive landscape and product lifecycle. Incorporate these insights to Sales demand line forecast. Views issue from different angles with a core understanding of the potential impact across the organization.

  • Able to identify and understand the company strategy, portfolio, trends and margins in relation to co-planned account. Expert understanding of planning concepts with the ability to explain this effectively.

  • Effective at leading conversations. Able to communicate with cross functional teams that influence and drive optimized decisions with multiple executive stakeholders. You are confident in using data to draw conclusions designed to drive action.

  • Collaborate with regional sales leadership to create and implement sales plans and forecasts. You will engage with the Customer on long-term Forecasting, and will be using various reporting tools like Kinaxis, Tableau, Business Objects, Salesforce.com, MBR, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Technology, or related field. MS/MBA preferred.
  • Collaborate with regional sales leadership to create and implement sales plans and forecasts. You will engage with the Customer on long-term Forecasting, and will be using various reporting tools like Kinaxis, Tableau, Business Objects, Salesforce.com, MBR, etc.

  • 8 years of Supply chain experience, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), in combination with business, business operations, and operations management / customer facing roles

Preferred Requirements

  • Has strong analytical and planning skills that can help lead to data-driven decisions. Is able to look at various scenarios for planning purposes. Can recognize patterns and use these to reduce complex data to actionable conclusions that can easily be understood by the partners.

  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities. Able to lead conversations to influence and drive better decisions with partners at various levels in the organization. Able to manage difficult conversations within and outside of Cisco.

  • Experience in managing multiple programs with medium to large functional teams. Understands Cisco’s customers, markets, and products. Able to align internal processes with corporate objectives.

  • Provides thought leadership. Is able to anticipate future threats and opportunities for our customers and businesses and decides based on global business conditions and strategies.

  • Able to work collaboratively across multiple teams and regions. As a cross-functional leader without direct reports, ensures processes, systems, and people operate harmoniously.

  • Manages challenges openly and directly. Has the conviction to try new things, make decisions, and drive alignment when needed to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Experience in Tableau, Business Objects and Kinaxis an advantage.
