About This Role:

At Crusoe.ai, we move fast, we build things, and we power the future of sustainable computation. We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing team in Tulsa. This full-time role is essential for ensuring the safety and quality of the electrical infrastructure critical to our growing data center business. You will be responsible for the final inspection and initial commissioning preparation of low voltage circuit breakers, ensuring they comply perfectly with engineering specifications before integration into our final products.

The work you do directly impacts the reliability and safety of Crusoe’s global operations and contributes to our commitment to ethical and sustainable infrastructure. You will be the last line of defense, driving quality assurance with precision and expertise. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, possess an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards, and thrive on executing complex inspection and programming tasks with speed and clarity.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Mechanical Inspections: Conduct detailed visual and mechanical inspections of new low voltage air and molded case circuit breakers upon receipt and prior to installation. Verify components against technical drawings and check systematically for manufacturing defects or shipping damage.

  • Breaker Programming: Install, configure, and program electronic trip units and associated control systems to precisely match specified engineering requirements and design documentation, ensuring critical components are commissioned correctly.

  • Minor Repairs and Adjustments: Execute minor mechanical adjustments and corrective repairs discovered during the inspection process, such as tightening connections, lubricating moving parts, and replacing simple components (e.g., coils, contacts).

  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document all inspection results and non-conformance issues in detailed quality reports, communicating findings clearly and concisely to the Quality and Engineering teams to drive process improvement.

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe handling of all electrical components to maintain an ethical and secure working environment.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Relevant Technical Experience: Proven experience in a quality control, inspection, or technical role, preferably within an electrical manufacturing or demanding industrial environment.

  • Breaker System Familiarity: Established familiarity with low voltage circuit breakers from various major manufacturers (e.g., ABB, Eaton, Siemens, Square D, GE).

  • Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in using basic hand tools (e.g., screwdriver, wrench, multimeter) for inspection, testing, and minor mechanical adjustments.

  • Data and Software Skills: Basic computer skills required for accurate data entry, documentation, and the effective utilization of specific breaker programming software.

  • Meticulous Focus: Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to achieving and maintaining high-quality work and zero defects.

  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate effective communication skills for clear reporting, collaboration with manufacturing teammates, and providing technical feedback to engineers.

  • Required Education: Hold a High School Diploma or G.E.D. as a mandatory education requirement.

Bonus Points:

  • Technical Certifications: Experience or certification as an ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar quality/technical certification.

  • Advanced Technical Education: Possessing an Associate’s degree or a vocational certification in Electrical Technology, Quality Control, or a related field.

  • Blueprint Proficiency: Proven ability to read and accurately interpret complex electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and blueprints.

  • Code and Standard Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant industrial standards, such as ANSI/IEEE or UL guidelines for low voltage switchgear and circuit protection.

  • Additional Voltage Exposure: Prior experience in the inspection or programming of medium voltage electrical equipment.
