Crusoe’s mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.

Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you’ll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.

About This Role:

As Crusoe’s Quality Control Lead, you will serve as the primary technical expert and internal resource responsible for ensuring our manufactured electrical products meet stringent Underwriters Laboratories (UL891 and UL50) requirements and Crusoe’s internal quality benchmarks. This pivotal role involves providing leadership, executing detailed final inspections, and driving the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of our compliance protocols. Your comprehensive understanding of UL regulations, meticulous attention to detail, and proven leadership will be critical in upholding our commitment to quality, safety, and market acceptance for our cutting-edge AI infrastructure. This is a full-time position that requires a strategic approach to compliance and quality assurance.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Strategy and Leadership: Own and drive the strategy for UL891 and UL50 compliance and final inspection processes across the manufacturing floor. You will serve as the primary internal resource and subject matter expert on UL standards, offering technical guidance to all cross-functional teams.

  • Team Mentorship and Training: Mentor and train production personnel and junior QC technicians on UL requirements, final inspection procedures, and quality best practices to build technical competency.

  • UL Compliance Oversight: Thoroughly interpret, document, and implement relevant UL891 and UL50 standards, ensuring seamless integration into the manufacturing process and final product conformity.

  • Audit Management and Liaison: Lead the preparation and support efforts for all UL audits, serving as the key liaison with UL representatives and ensuring all required documentation is current and accessible.

  • Corrective Action Implementation: Drive the resolution and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) stemming from audit findings or compliance failures.

  • Inspection & Process Excellence: Develop, maintain, and standardize comprehensive final inspection protocols, checklists, and documentation. You will execute the final inspection stage for finished goods, ensuring full adherence to all quality and UL requirements prior to shipment.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Oversee and manage the Non-Conformance process at the final stage, leading root cause analysis for recurring quality issues.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify, recommend, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance final inspection efficiency, reduce defects, and strengthen overall UL compliance measures.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain and manage accurate and organized records of all test procedures, calibration records, and non-conformance reports, ensuring data integrity for auditing purposes.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Certification (Mandatory): You must hold a valid and current UL MTR (Manufacturer’s Technical Representative) Certificate for UL50 and UL891.

  • Experience & Education: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in quality control roles within a manufacturing environment. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is highly preferred; equivalent extensive field experience will be considered.

  • Compliance Expertise: Demonstrated expertise and deep understanding of UL standards and certification processes. Proven experience successfully leading and navigating formal UL audits.

  • Technical Aptitude: Superior ability to interpret and apply complex technical drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and train team members on quality processes and technical standards.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and root cause analysis abilities to efficiently identify and implement solutions for quality and compliance issues.
