Who We Are Looking For:

Talofa is seeking a Contract QA Tester to support development on our mobile fitness RPG, Monster Walk. We’re a small, mission-driven team blending cozy monster collecting with daily walking—and we’re looking for a technically-minded QA partner who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

As a key support on the engineering and production teams, you’ll be responsible for identifying bugs, creating test plans, and ensuring stability across features leading into soft launch. You should have experience with Unity development and a strong understanding of QA processes for mobile games.

Responsibilities:

  • Test game stability, performance, and feature functionality across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Log, reproduce, and verify bugs in Jira, collaborating closely with engineering and design.
  • Develop test plans based on design and technical specifications, with a focus on new features and live builds.
  • Create and distribute builds for internal and external playtests using GitLab or Unity Cloud Build.
  • Track testing progress and help maintain dashboards that accurately reflect the game’s health.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in Unity (C#), especially debugging and log parsing.
  • Familiarity with Jira for bug tracking and test case management.
  • Clear and timely communicator, especially in a remote-first team setting.

Nice to have:

  • Comfort with DevOps tools like GitLab CI/CD or Unity Cloud Build.
  • A passion for fitness or games that promote real-world impact.
  • Familiarity with mobile device performance profiling and crash reporting tools (e.g., Firebase, Unity Analytics).
  • Prior QA experience on a live game or soft launch title.

We’re a small team, and every contributor has a real impact on the final product. This is a great role for someone excited to shape a delightful player experience and ensure game quality through rigorous testing and smart tooling.
