Day to Day
As a Director of Product at Indeed, your role is to drive the evolution of our Marketplace strategy by working across levels (from APM to CEO) and organizational groups to influence prioritization and ensure high quality execution. Your days will start and end with data, ranging from macro level business and market performance to sub-micro investigation into segment-level market dynamics. You will partner with Product, Market, and Business Line leaders to develop strategies and systems that create exceptional value for our customers and great experiences for Job Seekers.
Responsibilities
- Drive the long-term growth of Indeed’s Hiring Marketplace by designing and implementing the incentives that reward high quality matches and high-trust behaviors on our platform.
- Lead the execution across a team of talented Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers. You are equally comfortable debugging four-quarter roadmaps as you are SQL queries.
- Build a roadmap and define execution strategies with the team by utilizing data, user research, and business priorities. Work closely with collaborators, including the Senior Leadership Team.
- Define metrics to measure the long-term health of Indeed’s Hiring Marketplace, and translate those into confident short-term execution. Possess a drive for velocity, be highly adaptable, and demonstrate an ability to take a big idea and distill it into a clear and consistent plan that’s backed by data.
- Build relationships and partnerships with people and teams across the company, align on strategy, vision, and execution.
Skills/Competencies
- Requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirements.
- 5+ years leading cross-functional groups (Product, Data Scientists, Engineers) to deliver complex projects across organizational boundaries. Ability to coach, mentor, and support future leaders across functions. You’re not afraid to be closely involved and act as a player-coach when needed.
- 3+ years of direct and progressive experience in scaled Online Marketplaces, with a track record of successful partnership with Science and Engineering leadership to deliver transformational changes to these businesses.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences

The salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Where applicable, offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
