Yellow Card is looking to hire a Product Designer to join their exciting remote UX team. Yellow Card is Africa’s first licensed Stablecoin payments orchestrator, empowering businesses across emerging markets with international payments, treasury management, and USD liquidity. As a Product Designer for the Payments team, you will help own the user experience design for our API & widget solutions, across web and mobile. You will use design thinking techniques and strong collaboration across business, design, analytics, and development functions to solve complex, large-scale problems and create experiences clients love and that drive results for the business.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of Product Design Experience, preferably within the B2B Fintech industry.
- Experience designing for payment API’s is a bonus
- Must be fluent in English
- Expertise in design and prototyping software (Figma), preferably within Fintech.
- Portfolio demonstrating extensive experience solving complex UX problems and designing thoughtful, innovative web and mobile experiences for large-scale clients.
- Exceptional collaboration skills. High degree of creativity, empathy, and passion.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to bring together cross-functional teams.
- Expert in Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean methodologies.
- Deep knowledge about web and mobile UX patterns, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Good understanding of technical development workflows.
- Excellent organisational skills. Able to switch between tasks across projects.
- Able to give and receive feedback and interpret critique to enhance project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Be a contributor in user-centred design principles to create experiences that meet user needs and address business goals.
- Transform ideas, feedback and business opportunities into reusable, scalable design system patterns and components that meet user needs.
- Identify content and design gaps by evaluating existing content and design throughout our global ecosystem.
- Create easy-to-understand UX, design, and content guidelines for internal users.
- Champion our design system internally and externally.
- Collaborate with key project team members, including product managers, engineers, visual designers, and stakeholders, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Lead the design of the user interface and information architecture using data, participatory and iterative design techniques.
- Create and revise information architecture documents, including but not limited to: site maps, user profiles, user scenarios, use cases, wireframes, content matrices, flow diagrams/process maps, and detailed user interface specifications.
- Facilitate usability testing with internal and external users.
