Ledger attaches paramount importance to the protection and security of personal data. As an intern within the DPO (Data Protection Officer) team, you will be responsible for assisting the team in the company’s compliance activities.
What you’ll be doing:
Compliance Monitoring: Participate in the monitoring of the compliance program for each group team and in compliance actions (analysis of business constraints and risks, identification of measures to be taken, project monitoring, drafting of procedures, etc.).
Data Subject Requests: Handle requests from customers and employees regarding their personal data (access, deletion, rectification, etc.) and contribute to the improvement and automation of the management procedure for these requests.
Data Mapping: Contribute to the mapping of processing operations and data flows between internal systems and the group’s technical service providers, and update the record of processing activities (ROPA).
Contract Negotiation: Participate in negotiating personal data clauses in contracts concluded by Ledger with its service providers, and in the periodic compliance review of these providers.
Litigation Support: Contribute to the monitoring of any ongoing litigation, the definition of strategy, and the management of relations with external counsel.
Legal Watch: Conduct legal monitoring on current topics and draft internal communications (e.g., newsletters) for business teams.
General Support: Respond more generally to all questions from teams regarding personal data.
Depending on needs, you will also support all members of the legal department on a wide variety of subjects (trademark law, contract law, corporate law, etc.).
What we’re looking for:
Education: You have a specialization in personal data law or new technologies law (Master 2 ).
Experience: You have prior experience in a legal department, a law firm handling data protection issues, or a data protection authority.
Soft Skills: You are extremely rigorous, have a strong sense of organization, and are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Collaboration: You enjoy working in a team, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and are not afraid to interact directly with operational staff.
Languages: You are fluent in English, enabling you to communicate daily with international teams and work on contracts in English.
Tools: You are proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Bonus: Knowledge of blockchain and crypto is appreciated but not essential.
