Zama is looking for a PR & Communications Director. Reporting to the COO, and working closely with the VP Marketing, your job will include:
Help shape Zama’s voice: Define and execute strategic media initiatives that position Zama as a category-defining player in privacy and confidentiality tech for crypto. Continuously refine key narratives in response to the evolving Web3 discourse.
Create and implement press-worthy international and trade media initiatives by identifying key business talking points and periodically calibrating messaging.
Identify and develop a drumbeat of stories to support business goals, leverage newsjacking for opportunistic media coverage, and push key messaging into press.
Build and maintain a roster of target publications, journalists, and organisations to strengthen Zama’s PR networks.
Expand our influence: Develop and maintain a curated roster of top-tier journalists, crypto-native influencers, podcasts, newsletters, DAOs, and media communities across DeFi, FHE, ZK, privacy tech, and blockchain infrastructure.
Drive results in external relations by positioning key leadership as keynote speakers, panellists, or judges at major industry events.
Develop creative stories for trade and industry publications that increase brand and executive visibility.
Manage content creation for key communication channels, including press releases, pitches, media responses, bylines, and blogs for Zama spokespeople.
Handle media requests from trade, UK, and international press in a timely manner.
Build and sustain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists in both trade and mainstream sectors, in the UK and internationally.
Monitor, report on, and maintain media coverage results.
Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent and accurate flow of information.
Support the development of internal and staff communications initiatives and collateral.
Elevate Zama at major Web3 events: Position Zama executives as keynote speakers, panelists, and judges at global summits such as ETHGlobal, ZK Summit, Devcon, and Token2049.
Provide PR counsel and support to the Leadership Team, including drafting reactive responses and managing crisis communications.
Collaborate with Zama’s external PR agency to amplify media campaigns, set OKRs, and report on performance.
Demonstrate experience planning and managing global PR campaigns.
Establish media messaging frameworks that align with ongoing commercial strategy.
Prepare PR reports for the board and investors to support the business’s need to evidence growth and traction.
