People Operations & Recruiting Coordinator

6 April 2025

Be a Part of Something Big

At Alto, we’re changing the way people invest for the future.

For too long, only the ultra-wealthy could afford to benefit from alternative investments, and that meant a lot of missed opportunities for everyday investors. Alto was founded on the belief that a diversified portfolio is essential to investing for the future, and that’s only possible if everyone can invest in the assets they’re truly interested in.

So we created a solution that allows ordinary people to invest their tax-advantaged retirement funds into non-traditional assets, like real estate, startups, securitized artworks, cryptocurrency, and more.

By joining Alto’s growing team, you’ll be helping to make our mission a reality. And you’ll work with some truly unique people who are passionate about what they do.

The People Ops and Recruiting Coordinator will play a hands-on role in creating an intentional, positive experience for team members at every stage of their Alto journey. Whether it’s coordinating interviews, helping a new hire feel confident on day one, working on crucial People projects related to engagement and performance, or answering questions about benefits, you’ll be a go-to person, a culture influencer, and a key contributor to creating a work environment people can be proud of.

This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow and deepen their People experience in a fast-paced, high-performing organization. If you’re looking for a role where your unique skills and talents will be appreciated, this could be the right opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do:

Recruiting

  • Help keep our recruiting systems organized and accurate by tracking candidate progress and keeping records up to date.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers, external recruiters, and interview teams to make sure interview logistics run smoothly and everyone is prepared.
  • Support the onboarding process by helping new hires feel welcome and equipped by preparing onboarding materials, ensuring tech and tools are ready, and coordinating welcome moments.

Team Experience

  • Be a friendly and reliable first stop for team member questions, whether it’s about benefits, policies, or how to navigate a People process.
  • Help execute key company-wide programs and initiatives, such as performance review cycles, engagement surveys, recognition programs, and events.
  • Support internal transitions by preparing documentation, coordinating communications, and helping ensure each transition feels smooth, personal, and professional.
  • Assist with benefits administration by responding to common questions and keeping documentation accurate and accessible.
  • Help with team-building and development initiatives by coordinating logistics, preparing materials, or gathering survey feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, always keeping confidentiality and care at the forefront.
  • Participate in a variety of projects that improve the People team’s tools, systems, or processes, bringing a helpful, thoughtful perspective rooted in how things work day-to-day and what brings the most value to the broader Alto team.

What You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR/People Operations, employee experience, or an administrative or operations role where you supported others.
  • A people-first mindset: You enjoy helping others, are approachable and empathetic, and genuinely care about creating a positive team experience.
  • Excellent organization skills: You’re able to keep track of many moving parts, prioritize effectively, and follow through on details big and small.
  • Clear and professional communication: You approach every interaction, no matter who it’s with, with care and respect.
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude: You’re happy to jump in wherever needed to help support the team’s goals and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn: You’re interested in growing your People skills and excited to be exposed to a wide range of People processes and initiatives.
  • Tech savvy: You’re comfortable with (or have interest in learning) tools like G Suite, Slack, applicant tracking systems, and HRIS platform — we’ll teach you what you don’t already know!
  • Confidentiality: You have no problem handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

We know no resume is perfect, so if you meet most of the qualifications and are excited about the role, we encourage you to apply!
