As an Operations Specialist at Mural Pay, you’ll operate as a junior Chief of Staff — a behind-the-scenes force multiplier who keeps the engine running, clears roadblocks, and pushes key initiatives forward. Think of it as an executive ninja role: fast-moving, deeply embedded across functions, and always two steps ahead.
You’ll drive critical, high-leverage projects across compliance, customer operations, product, and finance, becoming the connective tissue between teams and a key enabler of strategic growth. From building internal systems and dashboards (primarily in Retool) to identifying bottlenecks and crafting solutions… to identifying bottlenecks and crafting solutions, you’ll ensure our operations scale quickly and precisely.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, wears multiple hats, and relishes the challenge of building from scratch. You’ll work closely with leadership, own execution on cross-functional priorities, and play a pivotal role in shaping how Mural Pay scales across Latin America.
Tackle cross-functional projects that span compliance, customer support, finance, and product ops
Build and maintain internal tools and dashboards using Retool and SQL to improve decision-making and visibility.
Leverage SQL and data analytics tools to extract insights and solve operational challenges
Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous process improvements with a bias toward action
Be a flexible utility player, diving into whatever area needs support—from analytics to strategy to execution
Act as a glue between teams, enabling collaboration and accountability across functions
2+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment—startup, consulting, or banking preferred
Demonstrated ability to build dashboards and tools to identify and solve problems with SQL and internal systems
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
A generalist mindset—comfortable wearing many hats and learning quickly
High ownership and a get-things-done attitude, even amidst ambiguity
Willingness to work non-standard hours and embrace the start-up grind when needed
Strong attention to detail and comfort navigating complexity
Mexico / Colombia (remote) and fluent in English
Experience building with Retool or other internal tooling platforms
Previous role in an early-stage startup
Exposure to international payments or fintech
