About the Company:

World is a network of real humans, built on privacy-preserving proof-of-human technology, and powered by a globally inclusive financial network that enables the free flow of digital assets for all. It is built to connect, empower, and be owned by everyone.

This opportunity will be with Tools for Humanity.

About the SignUp Success Team:

We are a 15‑person, “go‑anywhere, fix‑anything” 10x engineers guild dedicated to squeezing every last percentage point of successful registrations—whether that means redesigning Orb camera modules, refactoring Kotlin pipelines, shipping a Swift prototype in 48 hours, or split‑testing kiosk UX on three continents. Our culture —extreme curiosity, end‑to‑end ownership, and shipping velocity— tempered by healthy code reviews and an obsession with user privacy and simplicity.

About the Opportunity

You’ve mastered at least one mobile platform, but you’re hungry to rip open sensor APIs, hack low‑level camera stacks, and wire up on‑device AI that thwarts presentation attacks in milliseconds. You’ll prototype ideas in days, prove them with live Orbs around the world, and then harden the code so millions of people can rely on it. Your role will evolve as our needs grow—expect to broaden your toolkit with Rust, FFI, systems security, ZKPs, and beyond.

In this role you will:

  • Prototype quickly: Build proof-of-concept apps within large codebases and across complex backend systems.

  • Enable smarter hardware: Work with cameras, IR LEDs, time-of-flight sensors, and haptics to detect liveness and spoofing attempts.

  • Integrate AI: Run on-device inference with TensorFlow Lite, ExecuTorch, or Metal in under 50 ms.

  • Collaborate widely: Help translate research into real-world mobile features, contribute to UX decisions, and support weekly cross-functional alignment with marketing, hardware, and design teams.

  • Test and iterate: Launch internal “magic-trick” apps to evaluate new ideas on Orb kiosks around the world—using live sign-up performance as your feedback loop.

About You:

  • 2+ years of production experience on iOS or Android (bonus points if you’ve worked with both).

  • Endlessly curious: You read spec sheets and arXiv papers for fun, explore unfamiliar APIs on weekends, and enjoy jumping into entirely new tech stacks just to see what’s possible.

  • Influential and product-minded: You don’t need org charts to lead—you’re skilled at turning technical complexity into compelling stories that bring designers, ML researchers, and hardware teams along for the ride. (Bonus if you’ve been a founder before.)

  • Energized by momentum: You’re comfortable with long hours when needed and understand that building something ambitious isn’t always a 9–5. You value autonomy, but you show up when it matters and move fast to make things happen.

What we offer:

  • The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Tools for Humanity ranges from €112,000 to €153,000. plus a competitive long-term incentive package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Tools for Humanity offers a wide range of best-in-class, comprehensive, and inclusive employee benefits for this role, including healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k) plan and match, life insurance, flexible time off, commuter benefits, and much more.

By submitting your application, you consent to the processing and internal sharing of your CV within the company, in compliance with the GDPR.
