The Role
- We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary Marketing Leader to build our community and marketing functions from the ground up. This is not your average funnel-marketing position. You will play a pivotal role in defining our long-term growth strategy, expanding our communities, and advancing our worldwide marketing efforts. This is a unique opportunity to create and own marketing for a world’s first technology at the intersection of AI & Blockchain.
Responsibilities
- Formulate a clear, compelling vision and map a strategic path toward sustained growth
- Develop deep expertise in Gensyn’s business, products, ecosystem, and communities in order to effectively market to our target audiences
- Conduct a thorough market analysis, align our core values with strategic objectives, and define a concise, inspiring roadmap that clearly outlines both short-term priorities and long-term goals for the marketing team
- Create high-quality marketing content, including website copy, blog posts, white papers, case studies, presentations, videos, and social media updates to educate and engage users
- Actively engage with community members on Discord & Social channels, responding to questions, moderating conversations, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment
- Implement and execute community engagement strategies to grow and support the user base
- Track, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, identifying key metrics and making data-driven decisions to optimize results
- Manage and optimize our online presence, including website SEO/SEM, social media marketing, paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads), and analytics tracking
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal ROI on marketing investments
- Monitor and analyze community engagement metrics to optimize strategies
Competencies
Must have
- 5+ years of proven experience in a marketing role, preferably within an open-source technology startup environment
- Experience creating strategies that drive brand awareness and community growth
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO/SEM tools, social media management platforms, CRM, email marketing software)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner for different audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
Preferred
- A strong understanding of and passion for emerging technologies, particularly machine learning, distributed compute, and/or blockchain
- Proven success in building the marketing function from the ground up
Nice to have
- Experience in marketing infrastructure or platform technologies to developers.
- Previous experience building communities within the machine learning, distributed compute, and/or blockchain industries
