About the role

We seek an experienced and dynamic Marketing and Media Manager with specialized knowledge of the Bitcoin mining industry to lead our marketing and media initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns, managing media relations, and building brand authority within the cryptocurrency and blockchain sectors. This role will enhance our brand visibility, engage key stakeholders, and drive thought leadership in Bitcoin mining.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketing Strategy Development:
• • Designed and implemented comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Compass Mining’s bitcoin mining operations, products, and services.
  • Identify target audiences (investors, industry partners, crypto enthusiasts, etc.) and tailor campaigns to drive engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Leverage market research and industry trends to position Compass Mining as a sustainable and innovative bitcoin mining leader.
• Brand Management:
• • Oversee the development and maintenance of a consistent brand identity across all marketing channels, including digital, print, and events.
  • Create compelling messaging that highlights Compass Mining’s unique value proposition, technical expertise, and commitment to sustainability in bitcoin mining.
• Content Creation and Management:
• • Develop high-quality content, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and social media updates, to educate audiences about bitcoin mining and Compass Mining contributions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex mining concepts (e.g., hash rate, energy efficiency, hardware advancements) into accessible and engaging content.
  • Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of materials across platforms.
• Media and Public Relations:
• • Build relationships with crypto-focused media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Draft press releases, op-eds, and media kits to announce company milestones, partnerships, or innovations in bitcoin mining.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate executive interviews or speaking engagements.
• Digital Marketing and Social Media:
• • Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media advertising, to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Manage Compass Minings’s social media presence on platforms like X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, engaging with the crypto community and sharing industry insights.
  • To optimize ROI, monitor and analyze digital campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
• Event and Community Engagement:
• • Plan and execute participation in industry events, conferences, and webinars (e.g., Bitcoin Conference, Mining AscendX Summit) to promote Compass Mining’s brand.
  • Build relationships with key Bitcoin mining and blockchain stakeholders to foster partnerships and collaborations.
• Industry Advocacy and Thought Leadership:
• • Stay informed on regulatory developments, energy usage debates, and technological advancements in bitcoin mining to position Compass Mining as a trusted voice in the industry.
  • Represent Compass Mining in industry discussions, panels, or podcasts to advocate for responsible mining practices and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing, media, or public relations, with at least 2+ years in the bitcoin mining, cryptocurrency, or blockchain industry.
• Deep understanding of bitcoin mining operations, including hardware (ASICs), energy consumption, pool dynamics, and market trends.
• Proven success in developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement in crypto.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong network of media contacts in the cryptocurrency and technology sectors.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, Mailchimp) and analytics platforms.
• Experience managing social media accounts on platforms like X, with a track record of engaging crypto communities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving industry.
• Passion for bitcoin, blockchain technology, and decentralized finance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with bitcoin mining companies, hardware manufacturers, or energy providers.
• Knowledge of sustainable mining practices and renewable energy integration in mining operations.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for creating marketing collateral.
• Existing relationships with crypto influencers, podcasters, or YouTubers.
