Legal Recovery Executive (Dispute Resolution)

5 February 2026

Reimagine access. Reimagine ownership. Build the future with Cinch.

Cinch is Southeast Asia’s leading circular tech subscription company, redefining how people and businesses access technology. Instead of adding to the growing e-waste crisis, we enable affordable, sustainable access to devices through subscriptions that maximize reuse and extend their lifecycle.

We operate across B2C, B2B, and B2B2C channels, including major partnerships with global leaders like Samsung. Our model sits at the intersection of powerful mega trends—sustainability, embedded finance, and the shift from ownership to access—creating a massive opportunity to reshape the future of tech consumption.

At Cinch, we are builders with high standards, a bias for action, and a shared mission to create a generational company that outlasts us. Freshly funded by leading institutional investors and growing rapidly, we’re creating an environment where ambitious people can do the best work of their careers—and where the work has real, lasting impact.

Your Role

Cinch is seeking a decisive and organized Legal Recovery Executive to take ownership of our delinquent account portfolio.

We have moved past the initial collections phase. In these cases, final demands have been issued, and amicable settlement offers (including debt waivers for asset returns) have been exhausted. We are now looking for a dedicated professional to manage the formal dispute resolution process via the Small Claims Tribunal (SCT).

This is a unique opportunity for a junior legal professional or experienced collections specialist to gain real-world advocacy experience. You will not just be drafting documents; you will be the authorized Corporate Representative appearing in hearings to present our case.

Key Responsibilities

1. Case Management & Strategy

  • Review a portfolio of outstanding claims to ensure they are “hearing-ready” (verifying proofs of delivery, contracts, and correspondence history).
  • Prioritize cases for filing based on evidence strength and asset value.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a claim from filing to final judgment.

2. Tribunal Representation & Advocacy

  • Act as the official Cinch Representative: You will attend SCT Consultations and Hearings to present Cinch’s position to the Registrar.
  • Articulate the Case: Clearly demonstrate that Cinch has acted reasonably (highlighting our previous offers to waive debt in exchange for asset return) to secure favorable Orders.
  • Negotiate Settlements: Draft and finalize Consent Orders on the spot during mediation if a resolution is reached.

3. Filing & Administration

  • Manage all filings via the Community Justice and Tribunals System (CJTS).
  • Maintain a strict calendar of hearing dates, filing deadlines, and enforcement timelines.
  • Prepare clear, concise evidence bundles (Chronology of Facts, Proof of Debt) for the Tribunal.

4. Post-Judgment Execution

  • Coordinate the logistical recovery of devices once Return Orders are granted.
  • Liaise with internal teams to execute further enforcement proceedings on monetary orders where necessary.

Who You Are

  • Legally Eligible: You must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (or eligible for a full-time employment pass) to meet the Tribunal’s requirements for corporate representation.
  • Thick-Skinned & Professional: You are comfortable holding firm in difficult conversations and can remain calm and professional in a contentious setting.
  • Articulate: You can summarize a complex timeline into a 2-minute verbal explanation.
  • Detail-Oriented: You can manage a high volume of active files without missing a single deadline.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in Paralegal work, Credit Control, Claims Management, or Dispute Resolution is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Small Claims Tribunal process or CJTS is a strong plus.

Why Join Us?

  • High Autonomy: You will lead this project and own the results.
  • Advocacy Experience: Unlike typical junior legal roles that focus on paperwork, this role offers direct exposure to mediation and tribunal hearings.
  • Impact: Your work directly contributes to the company’s financial health and asset recovery.
