Job Description:
- Provide day-to-day legal support to stablecoin issuance and payment business during the entire life cycle (including but not limited to establishment of local and overseas legal structure, license application and business launch).
- Prepare, draft and/or review a wide range of legal documentations, including but not limited to terms and conditions, agreements, marketing materials and transactional documents.
- Provide efficient and high-quality legal advice to internal stakeholders, including but not limited to corporate, regulatory, commercial, litigation, intellectual properties, employment, personal data and privacy in Hong Kong and other foreign jurisdictions.
- Provide support on company secretarial and investor relations matters for all Group companies.
- Liaise and manage external counsel on payment and fintech projects.
- Assist in other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong, the United States, or other common law jurisdictions.
- At least 5 years of legal experience gained from in-house or international law firm.
- Sound knowledge in laws and regulations governing fintech and payment (including stored value facility), virtual assets (in particular, stablecoins), corporate finance and general corporate; and good industry knowledge with experience in dealing with projects relevant to the aforesaid areas.
- Experienced in handling legal and compliance matters for local and overseas licensed entities in payments and fintech sector, as well as financing transactions
- Good mixed of experience and skills in company secretarial matters, legal advisory work and drafting, meticulous attention to details.
- Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to cope with high level of responsibility, tight timeline and confidential matters.
- Proactive, reliable and capable to work independently and as a team (including mentor junior team members).
- Excellent command of oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Willingness to be based in Hong Kong.
