Our Games division is pushing the frontier of Skill-based Trading Games—trading games that blend speculative mechanics with deep, replay-driven design to make trading more fun and approachable. We are developing a suite of Web-based & Mobile-optimized trading games launching in 2025. This Lead/Senior Game Product Designer role is critical to our success and will work closely with game design, product, and customer experience leads, focusing on creating compelling gameplay mechanics and design systems that will define our titles.
Design and refine core gameplay and in-game UI systems that make skill-based games with trading themes engaging, accessible, and fun
Create compelling risk/reward structures that feel fair while driving emotional investment
Develop progression systems that balance skill acquisition with meaningful rewards
Craft intuitive gameplay experiences that introduce complex concepts in digestible ways
Design game loops that resonate with traders or anyone who aspires to be one
Build design systems and mechanics that create “aha moments” (sense of edge) and drive organic discovery of game depth
Define optimal session lengths, cooldowns, and tournament cadences; conduct A/B testing to improve D0, D7, and D30 retention and churn metrics
Establish baseline KPIs and work with our data team to understand performance and necessary changes
Create compelling reward structures that drive desired player behaviors
Translate financial concepts into visual gameplay mechanics that feel natural and rewarding
Design intuitive feedback mechanisms for win/loss scenarios
Create compelling visualizations for market movements and player actions
Collaborate with Game Designers, UI/UX specialists, Front-End Developers, and Artists to bring game concepts to life with engaging designs and mechanics
Translate game development outlines into engaging gameplay experiences
Mentor junior designers and contribute to the team’s design culture
Design and execute rapid prototyping cycles to validate core gameplay hypotheses
Create playtest methodologies that generate actionable insights
Collaborate with our data and playtesting teams to develop frameworks for evaluating gameplay quality and fun factor
5–7+ years in game design (mobile or browser, F2P or real-money gaming) with an emphasis of visual and art design
Successfully shipped at least one title from concept to launch with demonstrated impact on core gameplay systems
Experience creating engaging visual designs, UI/UX flows, and feedback loops that drive retention and engagement
Proficient with Figma and other design prototyping tools
Experience creating and documenting game systems
Ability to communicate design concepts through wireframes, flowcharts, and product/game feature sets
Conversant in development workflows with ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams
Understanding of technical constraints and opportunities in game development
Adept at leveraging AI-assisted design & prototyping tools to accelerate production cycles
Deep understanding of how to trigger dopamine responses through product features, visual rewards, and feedback loops
Substantial personal experience in speculative environments—trading, poker, DFS—with intuitive understanding of edge, bankroll psychology, and risk-reward mechanics
Obsessive attention to polish, interaction design, and the emotional journey of gameplay
Experience designing casino, social-casino, or other games with economic systems
Successfully launched a Web3 game
Led game design or systems design for competitive or high-stakes games
Background in any speculative environment (trading, gambling, poker, DFS, prediction markets, etc.)
