We are looking for an energetic and experienced Solutions Engineering Manager who will be a key part of the UKI Solutions Engineering Leadership Team. You will be responsible for leading a group of talented Solution Engineers (SE) who cover the Cisco’s top tier of partners across UKI. You will also be someone skilled in developing and nurturing technical stakeholders relationships, well-practiced in the art of quickly establishing credibility given your own subject matter expertise and your executive presence and communication skills and as such you will be a key contributor to Cisco’s continued growth and Go to Market in within region.

Your Impact

Cisco’s Partner network is the life blood of our go to market; it enables us to scale and reach customers with levels of value which only our partners can add. We are looking for a Solutions Engineering Manager to work alongside the partner account teams and partner leadership team to help influence the technical vision and strategy within those partners, building peering relationships with partner leadership teams, and helping us grow the business associated with our partner network.

The partner SE team is responsible for enabling and supporting our partners and for driving innovation within the partner network. This includes driving partner preference, technical enablement and supporting the partner go to market. It also plays a key role in providing a bridge between the partner and our internal engineering teams helping drive innovation and influence internally.

This is an ideal position for someone who has a high EQ with a consistent track record of leading and scaling high-performance solutions engineering teams in a fast-paced sales and technology company.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years within a sales technical leadership role. Define and drive specific cultures to attract, retain and develop the best solution engineering talent in the industry: coaching, mentoring, career development, and career pathing within and outside the direct team
  • Able to demonstrate technical vision and strategy for customer CTO level priorities. Demonstrable understanding of how complex, tiered technology partner networks operate, add value, deliver against business objectives
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a broad technology organisation and demonstrate understanding of a wide range of technologies, their integrations and value delivery.
  • Ability to present topics in a clear and concise manner to many levels of business leaders and audience sizes. Including Cisco’s corporate strategy, products, architectures and go to market strategy.
  • In-depth understanding and experience in leading all aspects of high growth technical sales solution engineering processes, detailed understanding of organisational structures, management practices, staff development, and retention.
