About This Role:
In this role, you’ll be a cornerstone of our IT operations π, acting as the second line of support for
complex technical issues and taking ownership of our core IT systems π». We’re seeking an engineer
with a creative problem-solving π§© and automation-first mindset π€, excited to build and refine processes
using low-code platforms like Okta Workflows and Zapier. Your responsibilities will span system
administration, SaaS management, and IT security, ensuring our hardware and software ecosystem runs
securely and efficiently, with a strong focus on IT security. Work night shifts (PST timezone) ππ in a
fully remote environment π while helping maintain a secure, scalable IT environment π that empowers
Bolt to succeed π.
Please note, this is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the option to convert to full-time after 3β6 months.
Roles and Responsibilities:
β β‘ Ensure an exceptional level of IT system performance and provide top-notch support to users.
β π€ Adopt an automation-first mindset, creatively solve problems, and build solutions
independently or with guidance.
β π Ensure a frictionless experience for all users, regardless of technical expertise.
β οΈ Resolve tickets as the second line of troubleshooting.
β π» Manage, maintain, and streamline our tech stack, from identity to endpoint (Okta, Google
Workspace, Rippling, Intune, and more).
β π Write documentation, log changes, and keep stakeholders informed.
β π Develop business continuity procedures and maintain data backups.
β π Directly contribute to employee productivity and satisfaction by ensuring a stable and efficient
IT environment.
β π Support global remote onboardings & offboardings while strictly following processes.
β π€ Build and maintain Slack automations to streamline IT workflows.
Skills Required:
β π Bachelorβs degree in Information Systems, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent
experience.
β π» 4+ years of IT experience, particularly in Helpdesk, Specialist, or Systems Administration
roles.
β οΈ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex
information from multiple perspectives.
β οΈ Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows and macOS environments, as well as working
with G Suite and Microsoft 365.

β π Experience with macOS MDM (Jamf, Kandji, Rippling) and SSO solutions (Okta, OneLogin,
Google OAuth).
β π€ Familiarity with low-code/no-code/PaaS solutions (Okta Workflows, Make.com, Zapier).
β β‘ Proven experience building automations or workflows to enhance productivity.
β π€ High level of tolerance and flexibility to address complex cross-functional issues and
collaborate with stakeholders.
β π Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
β π§ Basic experience with scripting and coding (Bash/ZSH/Python).
