Blockchain is eating the world of financial services and payments. Over the next 10 years, money, payments, and banking will move to blockchain-based networks.
At Agora, we’re accelerating this transition. We’re building a global financial ecosystem enabled by this technology. One that advances financial access and opportunity, and reduces costs around sending and receiving money. We started with our flagship stablecoin, AUSD, and are building across the infrastructure and application layers to change the way the world transfers value.
Our team has deep roots in this space, and we’re looking for people who share in our mission to create a more inclusive and effective financial system. Come join us.
The Role
We’re looking for an infrastructure engineer to ensure our platform’s reliability and security as we scale. You’ll empower our teams to deliver quickly and safely, while keeping operational complexity low and consistency high, by embedding best practices directly into libraries and golden-path workflows. As our engineering team grows, you’ll play a key role in establishing concrete metrics around service health, roll out reusable and secure AWS/Kubernetes deployments, and ensure high operational signal quality.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver key improvements to our Pulumi infrastructure modules and ensure we have a high alert signal/noise ratio
- Collaborate with our Head of Infrastructure to define our metrics around service health
- Streamline onboarding for new applications by creating an improved infrastructure scaffolding
- Improve observability and our engineers’ ability to ship fast and securely
Who You Are
- An expert in deploying Kubernetes within production environments
- Significant hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CDKs, Pulumi) and AWS services
- Familiarity with GitOps tooling and patterns, particularly ArgoCD
- Experience improving observability pipelines (we use Prometheus)
- Clear understanding of SRE fundamentals, particularly around SLIs/SLOs, incident response, and reliability engineering
- Experience building tooling and scripts using Typescript/Node.js
