Auki’s mission is to improve civilizations intercognitive capacity, help computers think, and solve for better human & AI interactions.Key responsibilities:- Design, analyze, and optimize plastic parts and metal subframes for industrial applications, ensuring structural integrity and manufacturability.- Conduct stress analysis and strength testing of plastic components and metal subframes, including failure modes and fatigue analysis.- Develop and refine plastic moulding processes to ensure efficient production while maintaining part quality.- Design components with appropriate light diffusion properties to meet product specifications and visual requirements.- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize assembly and disassembly processes for easy maintenance and part replacement.- Perform design iterations based on feedback from prototyping, testing, and customer requirements.- Support the development of CAD models, drawings, and prototypes for plastic components and metal subframes.- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet regulatory and quality standards.- Assist with the integration of sensors and electronics into plastic enclosures, ensuring optimal functionality.Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.- Strong understanding of stress analysis, material strength, and fatigue testing for plastic parts and metal subframes.- Experience with plastic moulding techniques, including injection moulding and thermoforming.- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).- Knowledge of light diffusion principles and material properties in plastics.- Hands-on experience in assembly and disassembly processes for maintaining complex systems.- Familiarity with prototyping methods and rapid manufacturing techniques (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.).- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to drive design solutions and product development.- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, manufacturable solutions.To apply: send your CV and portfolio to agnes@aukilabs.com or use the contact us form (Apply).
