Job Title: HR Business Partner (BD Department)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to align our people strategy with the objectives of our Business Development (BD) Department. This role is critical in supporting the BD team through workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on partner to BD leadership and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for the Business Development Department.
- Understand BD team goals and challenges to proactively support their growth and performance needs.
- Drive organizational effectiveness by advising on team structure, job design, and manpower planning.
- Support end-to-end recruitment in coordination with Talent Acquisition for BD roles.
- Identify and develop key talents and successors within the BD team.
- Work with the BD leaders to define KPIs, performance metrics, and development roadmaps for team members.
- Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins with BD team members to gather feedback, identify concerns, and ensure engagement.
- Collaborate with BD managers to implement strategies that boost morale, motivation, and team retention.
- Facilitate performance appraisal processes and support managers in addressing underperformance constructively.
- Coach BD leaders on leadership and people management skills to strengthen their capabilities.
- Provide market insights and benchmarking support related to BD compensation structures.
- Work closely with HR Ops to manage incentive, commission, and bonus schemes tailored to BD functions.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, local labor laws, and internal procedures for BD-related matters.
- Handle conflict resolution and disciplinary cases, working closely with BD leaders to manage employee relations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of HRBP experience, preferably supporting Sales, BD, or Commercial teams.
- Strong understanding of BD dynamics, performance metrics, and fast-paced work cultures.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt quickly in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Proven ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders across all levels.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
