The Role: Why This Matters Now

As we gear up for our next equity round and scale across markets and channels, we need a strategic, execution-driven leader to architect Cinch’s people operating system. You’ll report to the CEO and sit on the Leadership Team, partnering closely with function heads across growth, product, finance, ops, and engineering. Your mandate is to institutionalise the company’s org structure, performance systems, hiring engine, and culture infrastructure—ensuring we scale with clarity, speed, and cohesion.

What You’ll Own

Organisational Design & Operating Frameworks

● Design and continuously evolve org charts, career ladders, and role scopes across the company.

● Roll out RACI matrices, reporting lines, and escalation systems.

● Implement decision-making and goal-setting frameworks across departments.

Performance, OKRs & Talent Development

● Lead performance management cycles: quarterly OKRs, reviews, and compensation-linked feedback.

● Build systems for goal tracking, feedback loops, promotions, and leadership development.

● Partner with functional leads on team structuring, stretch planning, and levelling.

People Operations, Policies & Tools

● Own HR operations across geographies: onboarding, off-boarding, compliance, payroll, benefits, and HRIS.

● Select and implement lightweight HR tech tools to support scale and automation.

● Standardise contracts, offer templates, leave policies, and documentation.

Recruiting Infrastructure & Headcount Planning

● Build scalable systems for role scoping, scorecards, interviews, pipelines, and reporting.

● Partner with hiring managers to deliver on 2025/26 workforce plan with velocity and precision.

● Develop hiring rituals, recruiting brand assets, and funnel analytics.

Culture, Engagement & Internal Comms

● Codify and protect the Cinch culture—high ownership, outcome-driven, collaborative, and mission-first.

● Lead internal comms: all-hands, offsite, internal updates, rituals, recognition.

● Run pulse surveys, health diagnostics, and engagement interventions.

● Build and manage onboarding programs that drive immediate alignment and performance.

What You Bring

Minimum Requirements

● 4–6+ years of HR/People experience, with at least 2-3 years at a fast-scaling start-up.

● Strong track record owning or co-owning org design, performance systems, and HR ops in a cross-functional, high-growth environment.

● Exceptional systems thinker with a bias to build, ship, and optimise—not just advise or observe.

● Comfortable working with the CEO and exec team on company-level decisions and structures.

● Deep understanding of Southeast Asian HR landscapes (especially Singapore & Malaysia).

● Values-driven with strong interpersonal judgment and executive maturity.

Bonus Points For

● Prior experience in distributed or hybrid teams across 2+ markets in SEA.

● Experience with HR tech tools and integrations (e.g., BrioHR, Lattice, BambooHR, Deel).

● Experience in orgs with strong engineering/product DNA.

● Exposure to credit, fintech, or asset-heavy operational businesses.
