What you will do
About HOPR
HOPR is building the next generation of network-level privacy infrastructure through a decentralized mixnet protocol. We’re creating technology that allows data to travel across the internet without metadata leakage—protecting not just what you say, but who you’re talking to. Our protocol is fully open-source and designed for decentralized deployment.
As we scale our network and bring the first product using it to market, we need systems engineers who can optimize low-level networking performance while maintaining the security guarantees that make HOPR unique.
The role
You’ll be a core contributor to GnosisVPN, the first product launching natively on top of HOPR. You will drive the development of the client on mobile platforms, with an initial focus on iOS.
-
Work with a helpful and experienced team to build an iOS VPN app which feels native, is performant and usable at every stage
-
Enhance the usability of the client, which may also include UX improvements to the desktop clients
-
Read and write code in Swift. All the code will be open-source.
-
Integrate Rust code (HOPR client library) into iOS
-
Interface with the core HOPR protocol team as well to provide feedback on performance or usability bottlenecks which are best solved on the lowest layer
