Job Overview:

Squads is seeking a visionary and execution-focused Head of Marketing & Content to lead the go-to-market strategy for our growing suite of products. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative, positioning, and reach of Squads as we expand from crypto-native communities into broader mainstream adoption.

This is a cross-functional leadership role that combines strategic brand storytelling, product marketing, content direction, and community engagement. You’ll be responsible for everything from high-level positioning and GTM planning to tactical campaign execution, driving adoption across Web3-native audiences as well as non-crypto-native businesses seeking modern financial infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy & Planning:
    • Own go-to-market (GTM) strategy for product launches, from positioning and messaging to campaign planning and performance
    • Develop strategic brand narratives that resonate across crypto-native and mainstream business audiences
    • Define and execute full-funnel marketing campaigns—from awareness to conversion
    • Build and manage a content engine that includes blog posts, technical explainers, product updates, thought leadership, and social media
    • Collaborate with Product, BD, and Design teams to translate product vision into clear, compelling messaging
    • Identify the right marketing mix across Web3-native channels (Twitter, Telegram, Discord, Mirror) and broader Web2 platforms (LinkedIn, newsletters, PR, events)
    • Track performance of all campaigns, optimizing for reach, engagement, and conversion
    • Lead influencer and community outreach, podcast partnerships, and editorial collaborations
    • Manage external agency partners, freelancers, and contractors where needed
    • Build and grow a world-class marketing and content team

Qualifications:

  • Expertise & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
    • 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales roles within fintech, banking, or blockchain industries
    • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships
    • Strong understanding of financial technology landscape, especially in payments and banking infrastructure
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
    • Exceptional relationship building abilities with C-level executives and technical stakeholders
    • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder decision-making processes
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate partnership opportunities and forecast potential value
  • What you’ll need to be successful:
    • 6+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, or content leadership roles
    • Proven success in launching and scaling B2B or infrastructure products, ideally in fintech or crypto
    • Exceptional storytelling ability and editorial judgment
    • Deep familiarity with both Web3 culture and mainstream fintech/enterprise buyer personas
    • Demonstrated ability to own GTM end-to-end—from strategic planning to execution
    • Experience managing high-performing teams and/or working with creative and growth agencies
    • Strong understanding of performance metrics, marketing analytics, and ROI measurement
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Nice to have:
    • Hands-on experience with crypto infrastructure (wallets, stablecoins, protocols, custody, etc.)
    • Experience marketing to SMBs, startups, or global businesses adopting stablecoins or blockchain rails
    • Background in content production, journalism, or long-form technical writing
    • Existing network within crypto media and community channels
