We are currently searching for an exceptional legal professional to lead our legal function and facilitate our growth. The successful candidate will lead a legal team that is responsible for all aspects of the legal function within the business. The legal team is integral to the smooth running of the business and supports its growth across a wide range of areas, including commercial contracts, HR and recruitment, operations and corporate matters.
Responsibilities of the Legal Team:
- Negotiating, reviewing and drafting client contracts.
- Effectively communicating contractual and other legal requirements to the business.
- Managing the company’s contracts and other legal databases.
- Negotiating, reviewing and drafting partnership, supplier and consultant contracts.
- Supporting the HR function with assistance on employee contracts and policies and advice on employment law implications.
- Monitoring legal risks for the company and implementing training, policies and other actions to mitigate them.
- Responsible for corporate law matters and supporting funding rounds.
- Supporting operational matters, including the company’s expansion abroad, such as opening international offices
- Co-ordination with external counsel as and when necessary.
As Head of Legal you will:
- Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer
- Manage the legal team and their workload and productivity
- Manage the legal team’s KPIs and budget
- Be accountable for all of the responsibilities of the legal team
- Advise C Suite on key legal risks and developments
